Thousands stranded without aid in Bangladesh - 18 Nov 07

The number of people killed by the cyclone that hit Bangladesh has risen sharply to 3,000 and may climb even higher.The Red Crescent aid organisation says that the final figure could be between 5 and 10,000. The situation is worst in remote areas on the southern coast which was hit hard by a six metre tidal wave.
