Well while the worst winter weather in decades has eased up, millions continue to suffer the effects of China’s recent big freeze. It is Chinese New Year’s eve and millions are rushing to get home in time for the New Year. The scale of the annual migration is huge. Chinese families place huge importance on their loved ones returning home from across the country. Al Jazeera’s Tony Cheng travelled to Anhui, one of the worst affected provinces, and met some of those who did manage to make the journey.
