Israeli attacks continue in Gaza - 03 Mar 08

Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says further military action is likely against Palestinians firing rockets from Gaza. This, just hours after the Israeli military confirmed its operation in the strip had wound down. The apparent pause in the assault comes as the European Union and the United States send senior politicians to the region to try to put what is left of the Annapolis peace process back on track. Falling immigration in Israel - 29 December

Immigration is seen as essential to the survival and growth of Israel.But now a serious decrease in the number of people wanting to live there is causing concern.This year nineteen thousand Jews immigrated to Israel. That’s a drop of nearly 9.3 per cent from 2006.And it’s a fall of nearly 30 percent since the year 2000. Al Jazeera’s Ayman Mohyeldin looks at why fewer Jews are choosing to make Israel their home.
