In part one of a special 3 part series, Al Jazeera’s Awad Joumaa met his father, Hussein, in Denmark where he now lives. As they work their way to what was once Palestine, they travle through Lebanon where Hussein spent most of his life in the Baalbek refugee camp, in the Bekaa Valley. As time wore on he joined the Palestinian resistance.

Lookign at one man’s journey, this special 3 part series discovers one man’s journey back to Palestine, his first time since he was expelled in 1948. From Palestine, he fled to a refugee camp in Lebanon and from Lebanon to Denmark. Al Jazeera’s Awad Joumaa takes his father to the country he fled from.
