Displaced Zimbabweans await new homes - 30 March 2008

Despite their country’s severe economic problems, many voters in Zimbabawe chose not to go to the polls on Saturday.

Among them were thousands of people displaced during President Robert Mugabe’s so-called “clean-up” operation in 2005. The project moved an estimated 300,000 people from slums.

But as Haru Mutasa reports, many are still waiting for their promised new home.

Struggling after the floods in Mozambique - 17 Jan 08

Flooding in Mozambique has killed at least seven people and forced sixty thousand more to evacuate their homes.
