Money falling out of the sky sounds like a gift.  But when a plane filled with millions of dollars crashed into the middle of a poor Brazilian village, the money became more of a curse. Gabriel Elizondo traveled to the Brazilian village of Maracangaya, where he learned how an apparent blessing has complicated the lives of the already struggling villagers there.

The policy by Rio’s new governor to send heavily armed special forces into he city’s notoriously dangerous favelas — or slums — is being applauded by law and order advocates.
