Making anonymous comments about a particular matter, especially Scottish independence, is a tactic I have witnessed for over 33 years and one for which I have utter contempt. It is a tactic at which the British Labour Party are pastmasters. People in Scotland have now seen through it and so, increasingly, are the people of England.
